(Some off these traps only work in minecraft 1.3.1 it was released today so yeah !!)

1.instant TNT death (improved)-then spend tnt trap make shure that you place tnt in all directions player could run in so he would explode. example player runing in hallway and steps on the plesure plate he hears that little ssss! and runs away but TNT explode not thre he sets it be where he runs (thats in both hallway paths).


2. instant ARROWS death. thats realy easy basic arrow dispenser trap with all paths player could run and with repeating aspect.

I'd say there are better Instant Death traps. Let's say you are in a 2x1 corridor, the walls and ceiling are bedrock and the floor is sand. Once you enter it, a proximity detector updates the sand. You get it, right?

Or... Arrow spawners with a high value on the "damage" tag. Insta-kills you and if placed nicely can be impossible to take out.

Or, in 1.4 with the new Redstone command block, just set it to /kill or if that doesn't work /tp [coordinates of death]
